High-Net-Worth Estate Planning Attorney

Our Solana Beach, California office seeks an experienced Estate Planning Attorney with business-formation experience. Work at the forefront of estate planning and asset protection with an exceptional staff, excellent paralegal support, in-house marketing, and top-notch networking.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Admission to the State Bar of California (WY, NV, or FL admission a plus)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in estate planning
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients to assess their financial situation, goals, and concerns
• Draft trusts and other testamentary documents tailored to high-net-worth clients
• Develop tax-efficient strategies to minimize estate, gift, and other tax liabilities
• Advise on wealth preservation, asset protection, and philanthropic and charitable strategies
• Draft and advise on charitable trusts and foundations
• Assist with the transfer and succession of businesses and high-value real estate
• Oversee the administration of trusts and estates
• Collaborate with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals
• Conduct legal research and maintain continuing legal education
• Maintain a high level of client confidentiality and privacy
• Supervise and mentor support staff and junior attorneys

Our Solana Beach, California office seeks an experienced paralegal with business-formation experience to join our growing staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certification
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in estate planning and business law
• Strong understanding of estate planning techniques and business formation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented approach to document preparation and review
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

Key responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with estate and business planning, including formation of corporations, LLCs, and other entities
• Prepare and review documents such as articles of incorporation, articles of organization, and operating agreements
• Communicate with clients, financial advisors, and other professionals to establish and manage trusts and entities
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients on estate planning and business matters
